I've got a 96v battery pack & want to build a gas engine charger using an alternator. How do I mod an alt?

I'm almost done building an EV from a Suzuki Sidekick. I'd like to mount a gas generator to assist in the range and to allow for charging in the event of of no grid power. How do I modify a 12v alternator to output 96v?

I looked into doing this myself but I think much cheaper and better to just buy a regular gas generator and then just plug the proper EV charger into it to recharge your battery's. Good luck!
