I was looking to buy a 97 crown vic for parts. The man said diesel gas was accidently put in. Would that mess?

up the engine real bad or would be a minor thing? What has to be done to fix it?

Wouldn't hurt a thing. Just clean & flush the fuel system. Dump & clean out the gas tank. You can energize each injector to flush'em out. Fuel filter is like maintenance,eh.
