Can you adapt a sand filter to an intex pool?

I have a intex easy set pool thats about 13x42. It dosent have a steel frame. I was wondering if i could adapt a sand filter to it because the cartridge filter isnt working good enough. if i can what kinds would you reccommend, websites and advice would

yes, you can just install one take the cartridge filter put a string filter in its place
