Does anyone know the torque of a 1980's AC Delco Alternator from a GM truck.?
I don't need specifics or formulas. I just need a ballpark figure.
No I mean the pully. Sorry I guess I should have been more specific. I need to know the torque required to turn the pully at the proper RPM.
If you are talking about the long bolt that mounts the alternator to the head;no more than about 35ftlbs. If you mean the adjustment bolt on the topfront bracket; 20ftlbs max. Be really careful not to strip out or break the bolts though. Just give them
