Will my insurance company cover a car they totalled for hail damage?
I recently replaced the engine in my 99 chevy monte carlo as well as the air conditioner, serpentine belt, pulley and got it painted. During the recent hail storms in Texas they have decided to consider my car totalled, it still drivable obviously.
They'll stop offering collision and comprehensive coverage on it most likely, but they might agree to keep the liability coverage on it.
