Car air filter replacement?

How often does a new car need the air filter changed? Rough estimate please. I lease a 2010 Nissan Sentra as of April 2010. I just brought it in for an oil change and they said I need an air filter. Im just curious.

The cabin air filter should be replaced annually, or every 15,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The engine air filter should be replaced every other year, or every 30,000 miles, whichever comes first.
