How do I convert my old backhoe from 6V to 12V and eliminate the voltage regulator?
I have an International Harvester 3616. What would be the best alternator to retrofit into this backhoe? I am looking for the alternator that would require the least amount of modification to install.
The voltage regulator brings in the generator when the voltage is low and turns off when the voltage is high . Whether or not it is 6v or 12 v , you still need a voltage regulator . Even the new cars have them , they are just built into the alternator
